FOLLOW-UP VISIT ON SOCIAL BRAIN DEVELOPMENT

Ages: 24+ months

We are looking at how brain activity and DNA are related to social development and behavior throughout the first years of life. 

Participants must have participated in the Social Brain Development study to be eligible for this visit. 

Children will:​

  • Undergo EEG while presented with social and nonsocial stimuli

  • Use an eye-tracker while viewing pictures and videos of shapes and people

  • Undergo a recorded play session with their parent

  • Provide a small sample of saliva for DNA analysis 

  • Complete cognitive and developmental assessments

  • If eligible, complete the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). 

Parents will also be asked to provide a small sample of saliva for DNA analysis, and answer some questionnaires about their child's health history and development.

As a thank you for your time, you will be compensated up to $75, with an additional $25 if invited to complete the ADOS.
