She won 2nd place for her presentation of her thesis project titled, "Post ventilation inflammation and the effect on multiscale entropy: Predicting neurodevelopmental outcomes at the bedside." FUNDING RECEIVED FROM UVA BRAIN INSITUTE!

Together with a team of interdisciplinary collaborators from across grounds, grad student Cat Thrasher and Dr. Puglia have received a Transformative Neurodevelopment Pilot Grant from the UVA Baby Brain Initiative (BaBI) and Brain Institute. This grant will provide funding to support a project aimed at understanding neural mechanisms of caregiver touch during infancy.
