CAREGIVER CUES STUDY
Ages: 3 - 12 months
Have you ever wondered how infants and mothers emotionally regulate each other?
This study, led by Cat Thrasher, explores how social context influences infants' brain responses to emotional expressions. Brain responses are measured through functional Near Infra-Red Spectroscopy (fNIRS), a non-invasive brain imaging method that uses light to reflect brain activity.
What you will do:
Both you and your child will:
- wear a lightweight cap
- watch videos of emotional expressions
- participate in a play session
Participants will be compensated with a $25 visa gift card.
